Overview

Dr Setiawan Priatmoko finished his PhD studies at the Doctoral School of Economics and Regional Sciences at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences-MATE. His main research is paying attention to underneath variables such as marketability, participation, sustainability, and disaster mitigation management variables in developing rural community-based tourism businesses. He is also interested in marketing and consumer behaviour phenomena. He conducted his research by using observational studies and a mixed-method approach. 
He has so far published 19 research papers with co-authors from Hungary, Egypt, Oman, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Mongolia. Among the published papers are in Scopus Q1, Q2 and Q3. He has also participated as a presenter at several international conferences. Along with this, he wrote a book chapter titled "Economic and Business Trajectory: Indonesia, Asia and Europe" as part of an association between Hungarian PhD and DLA students and the Indonesian Student Association (DOSZ). 
Setiawan Priatmoko has proven his expertise in the tourism research area by serving as a reviewer or a guest editor for some reputed international journals like Tourism Management Perspectives (Elsevier), Nature (Springer), DANUBE: Law, Economics and Social Issues Review, Cogent Social Science and Cogent Business (Taylor & Francis) in the area of rural tourism development. During his time, he also helped with many tourism development studies for Indonesian government policy.
