Projects

Project no. 1.: Analysis of the role of nodulin genes in symbiotic nitrogen fixation by precision gene editing

Despite the large collection of mutants of Medicago truncatula, there are no mutants available for many genes which show nodule-specific expression. We attempt to generate mutations in selected genes using the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing method and analyze their function in symbiotic nitrogen fixation.
