Dr. Krisztián Milán Balogh's main research area is animal nutrition, nutritional physiology and toxicology. More specifically, he  focuses on the biological antioxidant system of animals, the effect of free radicals as well as the consequence of the oxidative stress caused by them. He investigates the amount and activity of  glutathione redox system and the parameters of  lipid peroxidation processes, as well as several clinical biochemical parameters in different animal tissues. He also examines the toxicity of selenium in poultry and fish species and in soil living organism (Collembola).
