Dr. Maryam Mozafarianmeimandi - MATE Research
Overview
Dr. Maryam Mozafarian is a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Vegetable and Mushroom Growing. Her primary research interests focus on enhancing plant resilience to abiotic stresses, particularly salinity and temperature extremes. She has extensively explored the role of beneficial compounds such as selenium, silicon, as well as proline and melatonin nanoparticles in improving plant growth and productivity under challenging environmental conditions. Additionally, she supervises several MSc students in this field.
Dr. Mozafarian has made significant contributions through peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and international research collaborations. She is a management committee member of the RECROP COST Action and an editor board member for BMC Plant Biology.
