Overview

Since 2022, Dr. László Balázs has been leveraging his 21 years of experience gained in the lighting industry to develop indoor farming technologies. His research at the Institute of Agronomy focuses on optimizing the intensity and spectral distribution of the lighting environment in vertical farms. László Balázs has authored more than 80 scientific publications and holds 10 patents and 1 patent application. He is an official member of Division 6: Photobiology and Photochemistry of the International Commission on Illumination, and the vice president of the Hungarian Lighting Society. He is the organizer of interdisciplinary conferences, including the AgroLight Forum.
