Dr. Krisztina Pintér - MATE Research
Overview
Krisztina Pintér investigates the fluxes of carbon dioxide and water vapor between the vegetation (crops and grassland) and the atmosphere by micrometeorological methods. She is responsible for the eddy covariance measurements at 4 sites (1 grassland, 3 croplands) where the net ecosystem exchange (NEE) and evapotranspiration (ET) are measured continuously. The oldest site (grassland) has been in operation since 2022. She took part in the building of a UAV based surface temperature (Ts) mapping system (Optris PI 640 thermal camera). Based on the Ts maps of the UAV system she estimated the ET of grassland and cropland by the pyTSEB model.
