Overview

Dr. Norbert Bozsik is a habilitated college professor at the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics. He has served as chair of First Visegrad Scientific Doctoral  Symposium  Multifunctionality and Regional Development, PhD conference in 2013 and an active member of the editorial board of Acta Carolus Robertus of MATE University.

His research focuses on energy security, energy efficiency, diversification of energy production and  role of renewable energy sources in increasing agriculture's energy efficiency. His expertise lies in  analysing the efficient use of energy resources from economic aspect.

Dr. Norbert Bozsik’s work contributes to questions of how we can meet the sustainable development goals in energy use.

His theoretical work examines how renewable energy sources can be effectively integrated into economic systems while maintaining their stability and growth. It analyzes the principles of the circular economy, with particular attention to how resources can be widely utilised and waste minimized for sustainability. His empirical work has assessed these theories in settings ranging from economic return, emissions, operational safety and social satisfaction as well as maintaining the competitiveness and sustainability issues of the economy.

Across his research, he analyzes the impact of climate change on the production of renewables and the strategies that promote the transition to a circular economy.

Dr. Norbert Bozsik designed and executed several research into economic, technical, environmental, climate protection and social satisfaction aspects of resource use.

His findings are instrumental in selection of renewables and in economic decision-making. He made significant contributions in how renewable energy sources can be used more efficiently and environment-friendly in the future.

He authored and co-authored seven research articles in high-impact scientific journals.

Dr. Norbert Bozsik has collaborated with universities across the European Union, and he has successfully applied for Erasmus+ academic grants internationally. He was awarded the silver plaque for his accomplishments by the rector of Károly Róbert College and Rudolf Fleischmann scientific award by Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Projects

TÁMOP-4.2.3-12/1/KONV-2012-0047 Dissemination of research results and innovations in the field of energetic biomass (green energy) production, conversion, utilization, rural development and environmental sustainability for Green Hungary.

The goal of the project is to explore the widest possible utilization of green energy, in those areas where the opportunities are there, and where the environment is receptive to new innovations. The research examines many areas, such as biomass, special heating equipment, special foil coverings, etc.. The aim of the project is to make the research results usable for the rural population. The program also aims to launch the electronic journal "Journal of Central European Green Innovation (JCEGI)".

2001-2003 NKFP-2001/4/032 "International competitiveness of agriculture" Scientific research project. "Possibilities for the agricultural development of Northern Hungary" subprogramme.

The goal of the program is to examine the competitiveness of agriculture and to identify the factors that promote competitiveness. The project aims to find out how the agricultural economy of the region can be brought into a competitive position in the capital-poor environment, both domestically and in foreign conditions that facilitate this. At the same time, the research sheds light on the social, economic and ecological connections of regional developments. The special goal of the research is the scientific exploration of the complex development possibilities of the Northern Hungary Region in the light of EU accession, with particular regard to agriculture.
