Dr. Zoltán Tóth - MATE Research
Overview
Dr. Zoltán Tóth associate professor works for the Institute of Agronomy at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He serves as chair of the Department of Agronomy.
His research focuses on soil fertility studies in long-term field experiments, dealing with the effect of fertilization, soil tillage, crop rotations and crop residue management on crop production and on soil properties.
He is the member of the International Soil Tillage Research Organisation (Hungarian Branch of ISTRO), the International Scientific Centre of Fertilizers (CIEC), the International Peat Society Hungarian Branch), and the Plant Production Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is the secretary of the Hungarian Long-term Fertilization Trial Network.
He authored and co-authored more than 100 research articles quite a few was published in high-impact scientific journals.
Dr. Tóth Zoltán has collaborated with several research groups across Europe, and he has successfully applied for 4 H2020 research grants. As a young scientist he won the prestigious Magyary Zoltán Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2009.
