Overview

Dr. Tamás Deák is a molecular genetics researcher involved in viticulture. He is in charge of s  a molecular biology laboratory at the Department of Viticulture where diagnostics and marker methods are developed to assist the grapevine propagation and breeding industry. He operates a bioinformatic unit devoted to genomic analysis to investigate grapevine domestication and  support genomic selection in grapevine breeding. His current main interest is understanding the infection process of black rot and  plant-microbe interactions involved in  resistance against this pathogen.
