Dr. Kincső Decsi - MATE Research
Overview
Dr. Kincső Decsi deals with studying plant biochemical processes under stress conditions using molecular genetic- and transcriptomic methods. She examines the possibilities of eliminating the harmful effects caused by abiotic and biotic stressors using plant biostimulators and plant conditioners.
Her applied research methods include, among other things, the monitoring of gene expression changes in the studied herds, as well as enzyme activity measurements.
Kincső's another main research area is the investigation of the beneficial effects of biologically synthesized nanoparticles under stress conditions, using in silico bioinformatical tools and laboratory tests. Kincső deals primarily with the research of plant responses that develop along secondary biochemical metabolic pathways.

Projects
Investigation of the changes in the cellular level plant biochemical processes - occurring under the influence of a plant immunostimulant preparation - under abiotic stress conditions
The aim of the research is to investigate bioactive substances that can be proven to be effective in helping plant populations to resist the damaging effects of the environment and/or biotic stressors.
