Overview

Henrik Mihály Szaker is an associate research scientist at the Genetics and Biotechnology Institute of Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences. His research focuses on abiotic-, especially heat stress response and its transcriptional regulation in plants. His expertise lies in the identification of genomic-, RNA- and protein factors contributing to heat stress resilience and sensitivity. His work contributes to the question of how plants sense and adapt to high temperature regimes on cellular and systemic levels. Across his research, he uses plant transformation and mutagenesis technics, nucleic acid and protein isolation, detection, quantitative and qualitative analyses technics, and additionally high throughput bioinformatic analysis. He authored and co-authored research articles in high-impact scientific journals.
