Overview

Dr. András Szabó DSc is a professor at the MATE, Department of Physiology and Animal Health. His research focuses on the physiology and biochemistry of lipids in monogastric farm animals, from poultry, mammals and fish. Across his research, he uses chromatographic techniques for analysing lipid profile in the animals’ tissues. He made significant contributions in the description of compositional modifications of tissue lipids induced by different physiological stimuli. He authored and co-authored more than 100 research articles in high-impact scientific journals.
He is a Guest Editor of the journal TOXINS by MDPI.
