Nikoletta Jaksa-Czotter is a research fellow, at the MATE, Genomics Research Group, Department of Plant Pathology Institute of Plant Protection. Her research focuses on molecular virology, and plant pathogen detection using metagenomic approaches. Virome identification of fruit trees and grapevine using small RNA high-throughput sequencing. Investigation of the effect of temperature on the RNAi-based defense reactions.

Nikoletta Jaksa-Czotter work contributes to questions of how the temperature-dependent processes of antiviral RNAi can affect the sensitivity of diagnostic methods used for virus detection in less researched stone fruits.  Nikoletta Jaksa-Czotter work contributes to questions of how the temperature-dependent processes of antiviral RNAi can affect the sensitivity of diagnostic methods used for virus detection in less researched stone fruits.
