Dr. Gergő Gyalog - MATE Research
Overview
Dr. Gergő Gyalog is an aquaculture economist whose primary interest is using quantitative approaches in analysing socio-economic and environmental problems in the aquaculture sector. He has been engaged in economic modelling to investigate profitability of aquaculture operations, economies of scale in the industry, and rentability of novel feeding technologies. His fields of interest also encompass the use of simulation models to forecast impacts of climate change on pond ecosystems and analyse environmental services of pond farming. His current main interest is indicator-based assessment of cultural and habitat ecosystem services in pond aquaculture utilizing GIS data.
