Online information event on the new Research Excellence Programme (REP) 2024
On Wednesday, 17 January 2024, the Research Excellence Programme 2024 information event took place in a hybrid format, aiming to provide all interested colleagues of the University with an insight into the professional framework of the programme and the details of the 2024 call.
The event kicked off with a panel discussion moderated by Zoltán Lakner (Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics), during which prominent researchers from the University - Anna Mária Csergő (Institute of Agronomy), Júlia Halász (Institute of Genetics and Biotechnology), Uros Ljubobratovic (Institute of Aquaculture and Environmental Safety) and Quang Nguyen Duc (Institute of Food Science and Technology) - discussed the topic of publication excellence.
Participants then heard three insightful professional presentations from REP 2023 participants: László Abrankó (Institute of Food Science and Technology) on Polyphenols as Bioactive Micronutrients, Richárd Kicsiny (Institute of Mathematics and Basic Science) on The first quine Turing machine and its applications in life sciences, and Viktor Papp (Institute of Agronomy) on Integrative Taxonomy of Fungi: Basic Research in the Service of Applied Sciences.
The event concluded with a briefing and Q&A session on the REP 2024 application process, moderated by Zoltán Kovács, Head of the Research Excellence Programme.
